How do I send alerts to Discord?
Discord is common for crypto and community desks. SentryDock posts through a Discord webhook (discord.com/api/webhooks/...). Create that webhook in the channel’s integrations screen, then paste it into SentryDock.
To connect Discord:
- In Discord, open channel settings → Integrations → Webhooks.
- Create a webhook and copy the URL.
- Paste it into SentryDock Discord settings.
- Attach Discord to selected monitors and send a test.
If nothing posts
Confirm the URL still contains discord.com/api/webhooks/, that the channel still exists, and that the monitor produced a result. Regenerating the webhook invalidates the old URL — update SentryDock when you rotate it. Do not paste the webhook into email; rotate it if it leaked, then tell support that it was rotated.
Channel hygiene
- Use a dedicated alerts channel, not a social one.
- Attach only monitors that belong in that community.
- Mute is not a monitoring strategy — if people mute the channel, the brief is too wide.
