How do I send alerts to Slack?
Slack is the usual team destination. SentryDock posts to a channel through the connection you configure in settings. Grant only the access the integration asks for.
Use a dedicated channel such as #alerts-energy rather than #general. People mute general; they do not mute a channel they opted into.
To connect Slack:
- Open workspace alert or integration settings.
- Connect Slack and complete the permission screen.
- Choose the channel.
- Attach Slack to the relevant monitors, not every monitor by default.
- Send a test post and confirm it appears in the right channel.
If posts stop
An admin may have rotated the app, the channel may have been renamed or archived, or the webhook may have been revoked. Reconnect from settings. Do not paste secrets into email; say which monitor and approximate time when you contact support.
