How do I monitor Telegram channels?
Telegram is often where local political, commodity and crypto news hits first. Public channels are the default. Some workspaces can connect a private channel you are authorised to access โ do not connect a channel on someone elseโs behalf.
Combine Telegram with a tight brief. Many channels mix rumours, forwards and ads. Your instruction should say which claims are worth an alert.
Public versus private
- Public: anyone can join or preview. Add it like any other source.
- Private: only if the product asks you to authorise a session you own, and you have the right to watch that channel.
When a channel goes silent
The channel may have changed username, become private, or stopped posting. Open it in Telegram. If you cannot see it without an invite you do not have, remove it from the monitor.
