Which sources can I monitor?

SentryDock can monitor many public web pages and feeds, including local newspapers, company or government updates, trade publications and RSS feeds. Supported social source types include X/Twitter, public Telegram channels, Truth Social and Reddit.

You can add sources you already trust or use discovery to build a starting list for your topic. A monitor can combine source types, which is useful when an official announcement, a local report and a social post may each provide a different part of the same story.

Public web and feed sources

  • News sites, trade publications and local newspapers with publicly accessible pages.
  • Company, regulator, government and organisation websites.
  • RSS or Atom feeds that publish valid, reachable entries.
  • Individual public pages when the site permits automated access.

Social sources

  • Selected X/Twitter accounts and public posts.
  • Public Telegram channels and supported private channels that you are authorised to access.
  • Truth Social accounts and public posts.
  • Reddit communities and public discussions.

Common limitations

A source may not work if it requires an interactive login, blocks automated access, places the content behind a paywall or removes the material. Coverage and check frequency can also vary by source type and subscription plan.

Only connect private sources that you are authorised to monitor. If a source stops returning results, check that its URL still works publicly, then replace or remove it rather than leaving a broken source in the monitor.
