SentryDock vs X Pro (TweetDeck)

SentryDock vs TweetDeck (X Pro): columns vs Twitter keyword alerts

Traders searching “TweetDeck alternative” usually want the old free multi-column layout back. That product was folded into X and gated. X Pro still does live columns better than any third-party monitor, because there is no relay: tweets appear as X posts them.

The short answer

TweetDeck is now X Pro: a multi-column dashboard inside X for lists, searches and cashtags. It is the fastest way to *see* tweets if you are staring at the columns. X Pro requires an X Premium+ subscription; check X for current plan pricing. SentryDock is not a column UI. It monitors selected X accounts and topics without you holding an X API key, filters with a written brief, and sends alerts to email, SMS, Slack, Teams or Discord from $30/month. Use X Pro if you want a live firehose on screen. Use SentryDock when you need Twitter keyword alerts you can walk away from, plus Telegram, news and Truth Social in the same monitor. Building your own tracker on the official X API is a third path: X documents pay-per-use pricing for new developers on docs.x.com.

The limits are access and workflow. You need Premium+. There is no native push to SMS or Slack. Keyword columns on $BTC are a firehose. Nothing outside X is in the window.

SentryDock and the X API sit on the other side of that trade. SentryDock sells filtered alerts. The X API is for developers who want to build their own ingestion and will pay X’s published API prices.

How we ranked these tools

X Pro / TweetDeck access is described the same way as on our Twitter tracker listicle: Premium+ is required, and we do not quote an X subscription dollar figure because X’s help pages and checkout are the live source. X API facts come from docs.x.com as of 13 September 2026. SentryDock prices are the live published plans.

We do not repeat press reports of a Premium+ monthly price. Check X. We also do not claim SentryDock displays tweets faster than X Pro on screen.

What TweetDeck is in 2026

X Pro is the TweetDeck layout: columns for home, lists, searches and cashtags. For a trader who already pays Premium+ and sits at the desk all session, it remains the right native tool. It is a terrible “alert me when this thesis hits” product, because nothing pages you when you look away.

Third-party TweetDeck clones and DIY bots depend on the X API. X’s getting-started and pricing docs are the official rate card for that path. Expect usage-based developer pricing, not a free firehose.

Where X Pro is the better choice

  • You already have Premium+ and want the lowest-latency view of lists you curate.
  • You want to *read* the timeline, not receive a filtered subset.
  • You do not need Telegram, news or Truth Social in the same window.
  • You are willing to treat watching columns as part of the job.

Where SentryDock is the better choice

  • You want Twitter keyword alerts, not a second monitor to babysit.
  • You do not want to pay X for Premium+ only to keep columns, or you cannot use Premium+ on a work account.
  • You need AI filtering so $BTC or “tariff” does not become thousands of rows.
  • You also need non-X sources in the same alert stream.

Price, stated plainly

X Pro is bundled with X Premium+. Check X for the current Premium+ price. We do not reprint a third-party monthly figure here.

X API pricing for builders is on docs.x.com/x-api/getting-started/pricing. That is a developer bill, not a trader SaaS.

SentryDock Starter is $30/month, Pro $100/month, Ultra $300/month as of 13 September 2026. Source access for X is included; you do not add an X API invoice.
