## Overview
SentryDock watches public news, social channels and official sources for the topics you care about. Get translated, source-linked results through email, SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord or signed HTTPS webhooks. Choose realtime, hourly or daily monitoring and use AI filtering to focus on news that matters to your coverage.

## Standing watches and webhook alerts
Connect MCP with OAuth at https://www.sentrydock.com/mcp, or use an API key for MCP, CLI or HTTP. Call account.overview first. Choose or create an authorized recurring monitor with an explicit subject, trigger, sources and schedule.

Call delivery.connect with platform "webhook", the user's authorized public HTTPS webhook_url and optional monitor_id. Omit monitor_id for all owned recurring monitors, including future ones. Team monitors require team webhook permission. Store the returned signing_secret securely; it is returned once.

The receiving agent host or workflow needs a callback and decides what to run after the event. OAuth alone does not wake a chat assistant. Signed news.alert events contain summaries, all source links, run_id and a stable event ID. Verify the HMAC signature and timestamp, deduplicate by ID and return 2xx quickly. Temporary failures retry over roughly 27 hours; current status and errors are in delivery.get / GET /api/v1/delivery under webhook_deliveries. Recover missed results with alerts.list. Quiet runs and previews do not alert; one-off Predict research and briefings are separate.

News and monitoring use the current paid plan. On plan_required, show the pricing URL to the human; never buy automatically. MCP, CLI and API do not require separate agent subscriptions.
